The Authority will be renovating its Administrative Building located at 390
New Hampshire Ave. Starting on Monday Nov. 9, 2009 our offices will be
temporary relocated to the John J. Franklin Public Works facility at 1
America Ave. All public meetings will be held at the public works building during our stay there. Please click the "Meeting Dates" tab for details.
During our stay at Public works our office hours will be
changing to 8:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Our phone numbers and mailing address
will remain the same.

- Make a LEFT out of the driveway onto New Hampshire Avenue N
- Make a LEFT at the first street - at the sign PUBLIC WORKS
- Follow road around for a few hundred yards. Building is on RIGHT

Dear Valued Customers:
The Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority (Authority) works hard to provide quality water and sewer services at the lowest possible rates. Every December the Authority holds a Rate Hearing in conjunction to the monthly meeting (open to the public) to evaluate any necessity of adjusting the Authority’s rates. Being a not-for-profit operation, we guarantee that any raise in rates will be modest, the minimal amount to allow the Authority to continue operations on a sound financial basis. Please be advised that, in essence, we do not set the Sewer Rates which you are charged. Being that we are merely a Collection Agency for the Ocean County Utilities Authority, we simply pass on to you the yearly charge which we are assessed.
We are proud that our Authority offers these services at the lowest rates in the entire area. In the sector served by the Authority, ratepayers pay approximately 50% of what others in Lakewood pay.
