Flushing Notice

March 09, 2017

Please be advised that the Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority will be conducting our comprehensive annual flushing of water mains commencing Monday, March 13, 2017 and continuing through the end of May, 2016, weather permitting.

Customers may experience some discoloration of the water. Should this occur, please run your cold water later in the day until it clears. You may also notice a temporary decrease in water pressure during this period. If you are planning to replace your water filter, please wait until after the Lakewood Township Municipal Utilities Authority has finished flushing.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your understanding.

Should this occur, please run your cold water later in the day until it clears. You may also notice a temporary decrease in water pressure during this period. This procedure has been found to be extremely effective in reducing the buildup of sediment in the water distribution lines.
